Nathan Cahoon
Nathan Cahoon is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Taft College.
He received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. While there, he presented research with his colleagues at the American Psychological Convention in Hawaii, centering on layperson stock market trading.
He received a Master’s Degree in Cross-Cultural Education at National University . He continued his education at California State University, Bakersfield and received a Master of Arts Degree in Sociology. He also attended Montana State University, where he earned a Master of Science Degree in Mathematics.
Before joining the faculty at Taft College in the 2019-202 school year, Cahoon taught for more than 10 years at Taft Union High School in mathematics. He is passionate about helping students at Taft College achieve their educational goals.
Cahoon lives in Taft with his wife, Marni, and five children. He enjoys pickleball and reading.
