Elevate Your Employment and Financial Stability

Adult Education Through West Kern Adult Education Network

Adult Education at Taft College is offered through a partnership with West Kern Adult Education Network (WKAEN). Regional residents are provided access to resources, training, and support to meet community needs for high school equivalency (GED), literacy, English as a Second Language (ESL), U.S. citizenship, Career Technical Education (CTE), and more.

These educational opportunities are designed for adults to promote greater financial stability through increased employment and/or higher education. WKAEN is a state-funded program for adult education. It has expanded with a consortium of partnered organizations and businesses that serves the rural areas of Taft, Maricopa, McKittrick, Tupman, Fellows, Valley Acres, Dustin Acres, and Derby Acres.
