Geoffrey Dyer


Geoffrey Dyer is Professor of English at Taft College, a role he has held since 2007.

He received his Master of Fine Arts Degree from Mills College in 2003, his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in 2001, and his Associate in Arts Degree from Bakersfield College in 1999.

Dyer’s background as a community college student helps him understand the unique role Taft College can play for students in providing access to higher education.

He is the author of The Dirty Halo of Everything (Krupskaya), and his poems and essays have appeared in numerous publications and anthologies including Bay Poetics, Involuntary Vision: After Akira Kurosawa’s Dreams, The Levan Humanities Review, and Fourteen Hills.
