Christine Owens


Christine Owens is a member of Adjunct Faculty and an Instructor in Administration of Justice at Taft College. She graduated with distinction/honors with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona. She earned her Master’s Degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and Law Degree from the University of Southern California. 

Owens has 20+ years of experience simplifying complicated subjects. She has taught more than 250 hours in evidence/criminal procedure to criminal justice students. Previously, she taught accounting, business, math, screenwriting, and computer science classes in both the academic and private sectors. 

Owens worked while earning both her Master's and Doctorate Degrees. Her law school recognized her as an outstanding student educator while teaching criminal law, contracts, constitutional law, real estate, and torts. Her work on civil/criminal casework aided others in understanding the challenges of law enforcement. Her enthusiastic and dynamic approach to teaching keeps students actively engaged. Outside of her professional role, she has coordinated with local emergency agencies as part of the Red Cross Disaster Recovery Team.
