Brock Mcmurray


Brock McMurray was named Taft College Interim Superintendent/President on January 1, 2023. 

In 2001, Brock came to Taft College after 13 years at Mississippi Delta Community College, where he served as Dean of Student Services and Assistant Baseball Coach. Before that, he played professional baseball for the Los Angeles Dodgers for five years after being drafted in the 10th round in 1988.

Over his 22-year tenure at Taft College, Brock has proudly served students as he rose through the ranks, including roles as Dean of Student Services, Interim Vice President of Student Services, Vice President of Student Services, Executive Vice President of Administration Services, and Chief Financial Officer. 

After attending Mississippi Delta Community College, Brock earned his BA and MBA from Delta State University. He is a Member of the Association of California Community College Administrators and a Board Member of the Statewide Association of Community Colleges. Brock has been a Rotarian since 1996. He is inductee in the Mississippi Delta Community College Hall of Fame.

Brock is married to Kimberly Diane Baziuk, and they have three adult children and two grandchildren.
