  1. Program Reviews

-Basic Skills

Went over Basic Skills Annual Program Review. Discussed goals- AVID stipends to increase data, Summer Bridge possibililty, being on top of AB 705 implementation.

 

-Basic Skills component of Tutoring

Went over Tutoring Annual Program Review as it pertains to Basic Skills. Discussed goals- English faculty in writing lab, piloting and embedded tutor in online English 1000, and hiring a full time writing tutor.

-Prioritize goals in terms of using Basic Skills funding and what will meet the requirements of the state, AB 705, and getting students through the basic skills sequence

  1. Basic Skills Certification

-Usage of evidence based practices now tied to funding

  1. Upcoming professional development that pertains to AB 705

Some faculty will be using basic skills funds to attend upcoming conferences and trainings that pertain to basic skills in either math or English.
