Graduation Timelines & Ceremony Information
Application Window
Fall 2023
Accepting applications from: August 21st through December 15th. *Fall applications submitted after October 30th will not be ADT verified. Graduation applications to be finalized approximately late January to mid-March.
Spring 2024
Accepting applications from: January 16th through May 16th. *Spring applications submitted after March 15th will not be ADT verified. Spring applications submitted after April 19th will not be included in the May 17th 2024 graduation program. Graduation applications to be finalized approximately late July to mid-August.
Summer 2024
Accepting applications from: January 16th – August 15th. *Summer applications submitted after April 19th will not be included in the May 17th 2024 graduation program. Graduation applications to be finalized approximately mid to late October.
Spring 2024 Commencement
The Spring 2024 Commencement Ceremony will take place on May 17, 2024.
Timeline of Events

Community Scholarship packets due to the Financial Aid Office by 4:30 PM - March 4 - April 12, 2024
Taft College Bookstore will be hosting a GRAD Fair from 8:00 AM through 5:00 PM. Monday through Thursday and Friday 8:00 AM through 1:00 PM. Receive a 10% discount on regalia packages with your student ID card with an active ASO sticker the first week of grad fair. Contact the TC Bookstore at 661.763.7731 for details. - April 12, 2024
Deadline to order cap and gown regalia packages. Place orders in the Taft College Bookstore or online at Bookstore.taftcollege.edu. All orders placed after this date will incur an additional fee. - May 17, 2024
Regalia packages not pre-paid are available for pick-up in the Taft College Bookstore no later than 1:00 PM on May 17th, 2024.
Ceremony Details
5:30 – 5:45 PM – Commencement Check-In (poolside at Taft Union High School)
6:00 PM – Gates will open for guests
6:30 PM – Line up at the Martin Memorial Stadium – Taft Union High School
7:00 PM – Commencement begins
Important things to remember:
- All graduates must be present if participating and must be dressed in their cap and gown
- We recommend that you do not wear high heels
- NO BALLOONS, AIR HORNS, OR LARGE SIGNS IN THE STADIUM
- No tickets needed
- First come, first served for parking and seating for all guests
- Water will be provided to graduates
